A matched pair of 16-inch T-hinges drop-forged from solid steel and hot-dip galvanized — the swinging hardware for heavy gates, barn doors and shed builds that take weather and abuse.
About this product
Stamped hinges flex; forged hinges don’t. The Anvil is drop-forged from a single billet of steel, so the strap and barrel are one continuous grain with no welded seam to crack. Each hinge spans 16 inches across the strap to spread the load of a heavy timber gate.
After forging, the pair is hot-dip galvanized — dipped in molten zinc for a thick, self-healing coating that shrugs off rain, salt and UV far longer than a painted or electro-plated finish. The fixed steel pin rides in a greased barrel knuckle for a swing that stays true.
Countersunk holes are punched for coach screws or carriage bolts, and the pair ships with a matched bag of hot-dip galvanized fixings.
